Recently, while scouring for a gift for my uncle, someone suggested that I could get him a police scanner. At first, I was bewildered. What's a police scanner? It was only after some explanation that I finally got to know what is that. And it seems that there are many people within my uncle's town who seems to having one such device. These scanners can also pre-empt you on the situations which is happening in your neighbourhood and perhaps help you avoid dangerous situations. You will be able to know what's happening around you at all times, even whilst you travel provided if mobile use is allowed.
