We often hear managers complain that their employees are not productive, not just listen since you can not always get the job done. From youth sports coach, I heard similar complaints of cars, children do not listen, do not know where to go and did not try hard. I can relate. Group of children has tended to focus on what I ask them, and work. As the owner of the company, my employees are focused on what I call them and work. What should I do, which is different from others? And what does this teach management of a successful small?

As a coach, my guys work very simple. I only ask two things of them. I ask them to manage a shot and ask them to know what is around them. Sure, we work on offensive and defensive strategy, but both these two key rotation I gave them every success, awareness and management.

These two simple concepts have a profound impact on the boys in their games. They have incredible confidence in their ability to make plans because they know they always do. I did not yell at them, like other coaches about how they must be right because they have developed an awareness of what they do and see. Let's see how you can use in your business successfully.

As a business owner, I put these two basic principles of work in training my staff. On the first day at work, I work with them to be aware of what tasks are necessary for what I expect from them how I want guests treated, etc. and ask them to master tasks and scripts client. Once mastered, I open it for them to adlib with my players. When the correction is necessary, it is usually in one of these two areas. They are either ignorant of what is needed or they do not master the task.

Not only the result of these two concepts makes it easy for me to get results with my players and staff, but also provides incredible results. My first team lost only one match all season and my employees rarely lose a sale. My business, award-winning product made by my staff. And as a bonus, everyone has fun with this simple structure. I knew I was doing things right when the father of one of my sons told me his son loved to practice while they decided to come to practice instead of going to see our basketball team played one night. And I know it works with my employees, because they show the happy moments, focused and ready to work. Remember, knowledge and control are two essential keys to a successful small business.
