Hair Transplant Advice For Women

To most of the world, hair loss and thinning is something that is considered to only affect men, but in America alone there are thought to be around 20 million women suffering from hair loss. Though men do struggle with loosing hair at various levels, when a woman looses her hair it can be emotionally devastating. All women typically desire to have thick, lustrous hair, which is why adverts for volume hair products and shampoos sell so well in all countries. Here in this article we look at available solutions for men and women from hair transplant to medicinal options.
There is no definite cure for people suffering from hair loss; the good news is however there are many more options for men or women loosing their hair. Women may wish to consider the Rogaine with minoxidil (which is an FDA approved medication) which is available in a 2 percent solution.
Another available hair loss treatment which is one of the newest treatments available is laser technology, which can work on both men and women and has recently become FDA approved. It is thought that the light energy stimulates cells and causes hair to grow. It is believed that patients will need 3 sessions a week for 15 minutes. The cost of this treatment is not cheap either, at almost four thousand dollars a year. Patients are also able to purchase hand held laser devices to use at home at varying prices.
Despite this however I would recommend anyone looking into trying light laser treatment to look into it thoroughly and research case studies. There has been much controversy surrounding the treatment and products as to whether they do what they claim to. Even if the product is successful it is by no means a miracle cure and for the money you are spending it may be worth your while considering a hair transplant.
Hair transplant solutions have been becoming increasingly popular in recent years for women due to the new advancements in technology and refined hair. To date, the hair transplant is probably the only method to restore a portion of hair, especially for those who have lost a large proportion. Yet not all women are candidates for the surgery and therefore it is advised you seek out a qualified and well experienced physician who will be able to tell if you are suitable for the surgery.
All of these hair restoration treatments will vary for each individual patient. It is well worth doing a lot of research into your treatment before hand so you fully understand all of the benefits, limitations and risks associated with the treatment.
