As we travel in our paths in life we come to having to prepare ourselves for tips for Internet safety since the 21st century has been dubbed the Age of Computers. Just about every one we have encountered in our lives has had some type of experience in web browsing and email. The question arises how safe are we really on the Internet? Malicious software poses a great threat to our individual online privacy. This code as they call it has all different types of computer language. It can morph itself to becoming a different type of virus or just do nothing and laying dormant in someones computer. After a determined amount of time the the virus comes alive in a computer sort of way and does its damage.

This is a real danger to our computer hardware and our personal information that we work so hard to keep private. In the next few paragraphs will give you some of the tips for Internet safety you need to combat the battle field online as we know it.

First never give out personal information unless you can trust that it is in good hands. There will always be a need to send personal information over the Internet. Try to keep a separate email for work and home. If your work mail is compromised then the whole company could be in jeopardy of loosing vital information to attackers. Home email should never be read at work as that causes someone looking for information about you to know where you work. To help with this problem change your password as often as you can. Use at least 8 characters for the password and never use any type of date that pertains to yourself or family.

Another great way to have some piece of mind online is to have the latest firewall and anti virus software available to you. These tools have a genuine impact on how attempted hackers can get through them. They are now using 3032 bit cipher for some of their applications and that would take a lot of effort to get through that. Also your email will run through these software platforms and keep other people you are emailing safe as well.

In closing, always log out of any website before leaving the system. If you do this and continue to surf the web there are some sites that have software installed that will try to get that information from you too. Take these tips for Internet safety as a part of the information you have access to when making informed decisions.
